Grey Leys Farm

A Family Run Dairy Farm

David Shaw, a forth generation farmer established the herd in 1968. The Jersey milk produced is around 6% fat and 4% protein and is sold to Longley Farm where it is used to make various products including butter, cream, yoghurt and cottage cheese.

Fresh pasturised non-homogenised milk is sold directly through the farms vending machine.

The cows are out at grass during the Summer months and are free to roam the yard, during Winter they are housed in large airy sheds.

Grass silage, maize silage and wholecrop wheat and barley is grown on the 420 acre farm to feed over the Winter months. David regularly hosts farm visits and tours and the milk vending machine is a favourite amongst the local community.
